NAS failed on me

Company Drobo has gone out of business

Software wasn't updated to current OS which was an issue I knew about

Purchased a Synology DS1522+ to replace it - but the hard drives need the data rescuing first which is a big issue

External USB drive as a second copy of your data

Backup 321 - 3 copies, 2 different media, 1 copy offsite

Very expensive and stressful
