Season 5, Episode 167

New workplace - feels like more is getting done, but food bills have gone up! Daily Standup - tell others what you did yesterday and what you plan to do today Finding a friend if you are self-employed Making a tick list between the two of you and tick them off as the day goes on Good way to keep up daily accountability Bigger companies do this, but big groups can be quite boring Friend of the podcast Marc Summers had a system where employees posted to Slack what they had done that day New Opportunities - photograph a drama school weekend of shows to offer prints to the parents Do you have the skills to do this? Have you done all the parts of the job before, but maybe not together? Creating a system for selling prints - we can do this, but nothing in place yet Lots of work required to be able to take on this job, and I can then decide if I wish to do it again Depends a lot on the sales I think - which are affected by the pricing and the quality of the photos Dipping my toe in the water will give me insights and give me knowledge of whether I do this again Learning on the job is not a great idea for a paying customer - fine for friends and family though Facebook issues - watch on YouTube for the time being, or listen to the podcast   Visit the website: https://www.thisweekwith.co.uk Drayson Design Website – https://www.draysondesign.com The Creative Tinker Website – https://www.thecreativetinker.com Facebook: https://www.thisweekwith.co.uk/facebook Youtube: https://www.thisweekwith.co.uk/youtube * Full transcript will be available on the website.
